The Idea of Hope

The book I just finished spoke of one's life purpose focusing around hope. So now the questions is, "What is your hope... my hope?" Usually I hope that I can brighten someone's day or give purpose to their day, to make them feel needed, important, appreciated. That seems like such a small hope. Maybe it should be 10 people, 20, 100... What are your ideas about hope?

My hope? Well the primary one, which I often forget/overlook, is my hope that others can see Christ in me. However, it seems that far too often I am snippy, impatient, judgmental, and gossiping instead.

I also hope to brighten the day of those around me, from the truckers I dispatch to the clerk who rings me up at Target.

Finally, I hope to effectively let the people in my life (family, friends, co-workers) know how much they, and the things they do for me, mean to me. I want them to feel appreciated and treasured. (Hence all the thank-you notes and such.)

Good question, btw!
